The Old Barn, Worcestershire
Assisting the property owners with the refurbishment of this Grade II listed, 15th century cruck frame barn. Consultancy and assistance with implementing underfloor heating within the principal barn area covering 105.3 sq/m (1,128.25 sq/ft). Providing engineering calculations to replace old iron ties on the cruck frame beams and providing new replacements. Further assistance within the adjacent 'piggery' installing new support lintels.


Responsibilities of Over-see: 
• Metal bracing to support 15th century cruck frame
• Consultancy over repair and refurbishment of Grade II listed barn
• Assistance with under floor heating and plumbing
• Engineering calcs


Challenges: installing large runs of piping for the underfloor heating system to ensure an efficient flow and return back to the manifold.

Duration: 12 weeks
Fees: hourly/daily rate
